RANDOM SNAP: Never-Ending Project

One of Coz’s personal Zs feels like a project that will never be finished. It’s an immaculate 1990 Twin Turbo that was actually picked up from StopTech a few years back. It’s been repainted, and will most likely be repainted again, and has an impressive list of modifications.

The interesting thing with this car is how many parts are new. Not low mileage; this isn’t a barn find. While this car isn’t complete, everything that is there is either completely refurbished or brand new. For example, it has a new A/C compressor, a new OEM Nissan shortblock, even a new Nissan OEM subframe (since the bushings aren’t available by themselves).

It’s currently wearing a set of StopTech brakes (ST40/ST22), HKS 2530 Turbos, an OS Giken clutch, and Nismo 740cc injectors.

We’ll see it rolling around some day.

  1. What’s the story behind StopTech owning this particular Z? Was it a shop car or a vehicle of an employee there?

    • Nothing too crazy, it was owned by own of the employees over there a few years ago. He sold it to Coz as a rolling chassis, and it’s actually pretty close to running. Right now it needs an intake, test pipes, some fuel in the tank, and some fluids.
