These cables connector your battery terminals to the starter (positive side) and ground points (negative side). Over time they become corroded, the insulation splits, the wire frays, and the terminals deform, so it's a good idea to replace them if they're starting to show their age. Unfortunately Nissan has discontinued production of the original OEM battery cables, so we've started production of our own replica harnesses. Their design is based off of one of the last remaining brand new Nissan OEM harnesses. The fitment, layout, and even appearance is virtually identical to the original, so they look right at home in even the most pristine original 300ZXs. Unlike other cheap replicas, or home-made solutions, our cable kit stays true to the original design and maintains the OEM-style and quality heat insulators, mounting grommets, and terminal boots for a perfect fit and finish.

I have a 1991 300ZX Twin Turbo and I am about to buy a alternator from you. It's in my shopping cart I was aware that it needs a 4 gauge battery harness. I saw one on your website that looks like it will do the job. Can you tell me if it is good enough for the alternator that I'm purchasing. And can you recommend a transmission harness if I need one for that alternator.

This one is actually a stock replacement for the OEM battery harness. Because it's a replica of the stock harness, it does not have any additional heavy-gauge wiring for high output alternators, so you would still need to run that additional 4ga wire for the WPS Alternator.

I've installed about 5 of these now, great fitment and OEM quality. Glad to see CZP pick up what Nissan has discontinued.
