Customer Questions
Question:
I’m no car expert. Would this make my 1991 Z faster and or more responsive? Are they difficult to install? Is there anything else you sell that is somewhat of an easy upgrade for performance?
- Michael
Answer:
Hi Michael, these mostly benefit the TT as they allow you to run higher flow-rate injectors and different intake configurations. They do optimize things a bit for the NA, but there just isn't as much to change on the NA. If the ECU is stock, these require pretty high soldering skills to install. Otherwise, check out our full ECU upgrades as those are the same thing, just with having us install them for you.
Question:
If my car is a 1994 NA but has a 1992 ECU what year should I put down?
- Max Kilbourne
Answer:
Hey Max, you'll want to go off the ECU's year, so select 1992.
Question:
My car is an auto to manual conversion and still runs the auto ECU. Should I select auto or manual in the options list?
- Justin
Answer:
Hey Justin, select for Manual

Got a chip for my 91 NA Z. Right off the bat I could tell a difference in how it ran. Throttle is more responsive, low end pick up is much better, power band through entire RPM range is much smoother. I thought my Z ran good before the chip, but that was just the cherry on top. GG, would recommend!
Very impressive how such a little tweak can make such big changes. The car ran smooth already before the chip, but especially the throttle response got so much better. Runs like new.
First off, it is an absolute pleasure to work with CZP for so many reasons.
Anyways, my Z was not passing CA smog, and this tune (along with some new plugs), and the car passed with FLYING colors. Not to mention the amazing throttle response, and overall improvement of the car running. Butt dyno felt a difference too! Absolutely best money I have spent in awhile!
