Customer Questions

Question:

Hello, I have purchased the SPL TRE Z33 PRO Front outer Tie Rod Ends V5 to correct bump steer on a 1995 300ZX TT lowered1 inch in the front. The questions I have is this over kill for a almost stock 300zx only driven on the road and not track. I noticed there is not dust boot to keep debris out. I just saw the Megan racing MRS-NS-0261 bump steer correction tie rod end with the dust boot. Would the Megan racing part be a more suitable choice considering the application? - Daniel Maples

Answer:

We've actually had good luck running SPLs on the street. Despite the lack of dust boot, the SPL heim joints still last longer than Megan's tie rods.

Description

Our front tie rod ends allow the tie rod end pivot to be relocated, which will correct bump steer resulting from modified caster or lower arm geometry, thus reducing lap times. The tie rod end pivot point is 5-way adjustable from -1/2" to +1/2".

Precision CNC machined 9310 alloy shanks for 190ksi tensile strength to handle the abuse of racing and drifting. Also features T2024 spacers and buckles for strength/lightweight and QA1 65deg hi-misalignment bearings to prevent tie rod end binding on lowered cars.
