What
does
this
mean
for
a
vehicle
owner?
You
can
fit
a
real-time
daughter
board
to
your
factory
ECU
and
turn
it
into
a
fully
remappable
ECU,
which
makes
it
tuneable
similar
to
aftermarket
systems
for
a
fraction
of
the
price.
This
allows
you
to
fit
larger
injectors,
larger
Mass
Airflow
Meters
and
get
your
ECU
tuned
for
these
and
fuel
and
ignition
changes.
You
can
either
tune
it
yourself
or
have
it
professionally
tuned
by
one
of
our
listed
workshops.
Tuning
provides
real
time
modification
whilst
the
vehicle
is
running,
with
all
changes
immediately
updated.
Wideband
feedback
and
other
auxiliary
inputs
can
be
monitored
on
an
internal
display
and
traced
against
fuel
and
timing
map
scalings.

Please
note:
If
you
don't
already
have
a
Consult
cable
for
communication
with
the
ECU,
you
will
need
to
add
one.
These
are
available
as
options
above.
Nistune
ECUs
will
ship
with
a
default
base
image
which
is
a
stock
Twin
Turbo
ROM
file.
The
Nistune
Software
includes
various
other
base
images
to
get
you
started
as
well.
Our
Nistune
Type
2
Boards
have
also
been
updated
to
support
the
"Nistune
Feature
Pack,"
which
includes
Flex
Fuel
support,
Launch
Control,
and
more.
This
firmware
auto-detects
the
type
of
ROM
being
used,
and
therefore
does
still
support
traditional
ECU
images
if
you
do
not
wish
to
use
FP
ROMs.
Please
note
that
Nistune's
Feature
Pack
capabilities
are
still
considered
in
beta,
and
are
frequently
receiving
changes
and
bugfixes.
However,
through
our
testing
we've
found
them
to
be
plenty
stable
and
reliable
for
every
day
use.
If
a
change
comes
out
that
necessitates
a
re-flash
of
your
Nistune
Daughterboard,
we
will
happily
update
it
free
of
charge,
you
will
just
need
to
ship
it
to
and
from
us.
We
also
now
offer
the
Nistune
Flex
Fuel
Boards
as
optional
add-ons.
These
tiny
Flex
Boards
can
be
installed
directly
into
the
ECU,
offering
a
cleaner
and
lower-cost
option
to
running
a
separate
Zeitronix
ECA
box.
Please
note:
This
is
an
8-bit
ECU
Upgrade
only.
This
is
compatible
with
ECUs
shipped
on
the
90-92
NA,
93
Convertible,
and
90-94
Twin
Turbo.
If
you're
not
sure
about
comparability,
please
contact
us!
Nistune
ECUs
will
not
include
a
pre-tuned
ROM,
it
will
basically
ship
with
a
stock
TT
ROM
(or
a
patched
TT
ROM
in
the
case
of
Feature
Pack
ROMs).
Professional
tuning
is
required.
Core
Charge($300):
An
Additional
$300
Core
Charge
applies
to
all
ECUs,
and
is
charged
at
initial
purchase
of
ECU.
Once
the
Customer
receives
the
CZP
ECU,
they
must
then
return
the
ECU
to
receive
their
core
amount($300).
If
you
prefer
to
avoid
the
core
charge,
you
can
also
send
your
ECU
in
first
and
have
us
upgrade
it
instead.

Customer Questions
Question:
I have a 1990 Nissan 300zx non-turbo. The previous owner put TT injectors on the car. Does the software allow me to scale the fueling based on injector size? Does this software allow real-time tuning? How does the cable plug directly into the ECU then to a laptop or is there a port somewhere in the car that I need to plug into?
- Rashaad Williams
Answer:
Hi Rashaad, it does allow scaling for injector settings and realtime tuning. And it connects to the factory diagnostics connector over by the hood release pull.
