Nissan Datascan utilizes the factory Nissan CONSULT diagnostics interface (located near the hood release lever) and allows you to view readings from virtually all engine sensors in realtime, run active tests to diagnose faults, run and clear codes, record data logs, and more!

Datascan is compatible with virtually any vehicle with a CONSULT port, and has been tested extensively on the 300ZX. It is compatible with stock ECUs as well as upgraded (socketed/chipped) ECUs. You can find more detailed information and software registration at the Datascan Website.

All CONSULT diagnostics software, including Datascan, requires a compatible CONSULT cable for use with your computer. We highly recommend the PLMS Consult Cable, as we've found it to be the most reliable and compatible cable available. This software is for vehicles using the CONSULT-1 interface, and it's our favorite software for the Nissan 300ZX!
