Customer Questions

Question:

Hello. What the difference between 60k and 120k timing belt kit for Z32? Mine is just over 60k. Which one should I choose? Are they the same for both TT and NA as well. Thanks. - kaung myat min

Answer:

Hey there, the only real difference is 120k kits also replace the idler pulleys and hardware. We generally recommend just doing the 120k service every day for added safety. And the NA/TT selection really just determines which parts to get you, as they changed a few components over the years, but what years depend on NA or TT.

Description

The timing belt must be replaced every 60,000 miles or 4 years, and because of the importance of the components related to the timing belt system, Nissan recommends a complete "60,000 or 120,000 mile service." This kit gets you everything needed to perform this service.

Includes:

In addition to the parts Nissan recommends, our kits also include:

60K kits are virtually identical to 120K kits, except they do not replace the crank sprocket, idler pulleys, or associated hardware.

As indicated above, we source some of these components directly from Nissan's manufacturers (like Hitachi and NTN), and we produce our own alternatives to replace some of the needelessly expensive or harder to obtain Nissan parts. This allows us to avoid the dealer markup where possible, while still receiving the exact same genuine OEM parts, and passing the savings on to you.
