Whats the difference between the 3.5" and 4" versions?
- Erick
Hi Erick, the only difference is the diameter, the 4" can hold more power, but the 3.5" is still rated at 1500+hp.
Using one of these drives shafts, will it hender top speed at all? And if so, what is the difference in top speed between the 3.5 and th 4.0?
- David
Hi David, it will not affect top speed, and the only difference in the two is diameter. The 4" can technically hold more torque, but even the 3.5" is rated for 1500+ hp.
Will this introduce increase NVH?
- jhirmack paul
Hey there, you will generally get a little more NVH than a stock driveshaft would. These are foam filled which does help to reduce it a bit, but they are still a little louder than stock.
Does the driveshaft come balanced?
- Devin Robinson
Yes, all Inland Empire drivelines are balanced as part of their construction
Hello I'm considering to get this light weight drive shaft. is it any power gain prove ?
- Hezha
There's really never been any dyno-proven gains, but in theory reducing rotating mass and weight will always produce more on a dyno
is this Inland Empire 3.5" Aluminum Driveshaft compatible for my 2012 g37s convertible manual built for drag racing
- Ruben
Hi Ruben, yes fitment is the same between the coupe and convertible.
One more question. My hobby is drag racing and my car is 300whp. I wonder if it is safe. Thank you for your response to my inquiry. I would appreciate your reply one more time.
- Jin
Hi Jin, we've never seen an Inland Empire driveshaft break or twist even on 1000hp builds. If you manage to damage it, you'll be the first!
