Thermostat Housing

The Thermostat Housing is an aluminum piping assembly mounted between the two cylinder heads. As the name states, it houses the thermostat.
Function
The Thermostat Housing has a few different functions.
- Provide a mounting point for the thermostat.
- Provide a coolant passage from the thermostat to the water pump below.
- Provide a return path from the heater core, turbochargers, and throttle bodies to the upper coolant pipe.
