Can the stock one be reused or is this necessary when upgrading to J Spec Bumper?

Answer:
Hey Edgar, this is necessary if you want to run the big OEM JDM foam spacer and the front splash shield. The stock one can't be used since the studs are too short (they're longer on the JDM version). If you do a ZSP Splash shield, you don't need the foam spacer or this retainer.
