The frameless window design of the 300ZX makes the upper window slider notorious for failing. This slider is responsible for keeping the window stable and secure, so when it fails, the window will rattle (especially while it's half-way down). This is also a common cause for water leaks into the cabin, as a bad window slider means there's nothing to snug the glass up against the weather strippings on the A-pillar and T-Tops.

This basic kit includes the bare minimums necessary to replace the upper slider:
