Description
The
Knock
sensor
is
used
to
send
a
signal
to
the
ECU
that
Detonation
is
taking
place.
Once
this
happens,
the
ECU
will
turn
down
the
boost
levels
so
damage
doesn\'t
occur.
If
the
knock
sensor
is
bad,
it
will
give
the
ECU
a
wrong
single,
and
think
that
the
car
should
be
in
safety
boost.
When
this
happens,
the
ECU
will
only
let
the
car
boost
up
to
7psi.
It
is
recommended
that
this
get
replaced
while
the
engine
or
transmissions
is
removed.
