Description
The
Nissan
Rear
Coolant
Bypass
Modification
Kit
allows
coolant
flow
to
the
rear
cylinders,
and
dramatically
lower
water
temperature
by
20
degrees.
Installation
is
a
direct
bolt
on
to
the
engine,
but
the
original
pipe
that
connects
to
the
upgrade
pipes
to
be
modified
to
use
a
straight
coupler.

Hi Jericho, these are not subject to emissions regulations at all, so CARB doesn't care about them. And the radiator doesn't matter either, this is entirely a modification done on the engine side.

The R50 Pathfinder mod really works. Few years back I had a VQ35DE swapped into an S13 Hatchback. After tuning we noticed the rear cylinders were hotter than the rest. Heard about this mod, did it, we did notice the first time around cyl 5 & 6 was misfiring a bit due to excessive heat. Running about 5 to 10° hotter. Installed this & everything evened out. Misfire went away, power was back, & the fuel atomized a lot better. HE'S & VHR's have it. Nissan fell short on the Z's/G's for this
