Please note: 300ZX ECUs are tested, but we are unable to test other model ECUs. This is not a repair service. Your ECU must be in good, working order, before it can be upgraded.

Options

Socket Only - We de-solder and remove the original EPROM chip, and replace it with a socket. The socket allows end-users to easily swap out the chip without any special tools. Only available for 8-Bit ECUs (see below).
Type 2 Installation - Same as the socketing service, but we also clear the 4 pads needed for the CPU header. If you send us your Nistune board and 4-pin header along with your ECU, we will install them after socketing at no extra charge. Only available for 8-Bit ECUs (see below).
Type 3/4 Installation - We clear the 40 solder pads, and move the necessary jumper to enable reading ROM data from a Nistune board. If you send us your Nistune board and header along with your ECU, we will install it after socketing at no extra charge. Only available for 16-Bit ECUs (see below).

Once we receive your ECU, most upgrades have a 2-3 day turnaround time. You can purchase a faster shipping method during checkout to expedite the return shipping back to you. You will be responsible for sending your ECU to us after purchasing.

8-bit vs 16-Bit (300ZX ECUs)

There are two main ECU variants found on the 300ZX: earlier models used an 8-bit ECU, and later models used a 16-bit ECU. They are mostly interchangeable for their target applications, but are completely different internally, so they require different equipment. You can use the table below, but we recommend physically confirming your ECU type before ordering.
