Electric fans help reduce parasitic draw on the engine caused by the stock clutch fan setup. We generally prefer a functioning stock clutch fan setup, but for track cars that aren't baking in traffic and need to free up some torque, an electric fan is a great upgrade!

Please note: This is NOT a direct install on the 300ZX. This is essentially a stock replacement fan for a Maxima, which happens to use a nearly identical radiator to the non-turbo 300ZX. This fan will bolt up to most NA radiators, but will require custom wiring to power and control. We generally recommend wiring it in with a thermostatic controller.
