The
OEM
plastic
coated
latch
catchers
that
the
Z32
Convertible
top
hooks
to
all
crack
and
are
slowly
breaking
with
age.
Without
these
latch
catches,
the
top
has
nothing
to
lock
onto
and
can
fly
up
at
speed.
This
scary
experience
is
also
usually
a
very
costly
one.
Nissan
has
discontinued
this
part
even
though
virtually
all
the
original
latch
catchers
are
cracked
or
cracking
on
the
Z32
convertibles,
resulting
in
a
potentially
dangerous
situation.
So
CZP
stepped
in
and
had
this
part
recreated
in
solid
aluminum
so
that
Z32
convertible
owners
can
have
peace
of
mind
knowing
they
wont
ever
crack
or
break
in
the
future.
This
is
for
(1)
latch
catcher.
Each
car
requires
(2).
The
pieces
are
the
same
for
the
right
and
left
sides.

I have been running them for over a year. No complaints great part. Highly recommend this over the OEM
Bought a set as preventative maintenance thinking my factory ones were perfectly okay - wasn't until I pulled them off I realised how damaged they were and covered in stress fractures.
Compared side by side these billet parts are chunkier and better built. Only issue was needing to replace the mounting bolts - on my JDM (RHD) model the factory bolts didn't thread into the new billet replacements, so I had to replace them with M8 x 1.25 bolts. Otherwise these are a must for convertible owners.
