The BDE coil mount base kit includes all parts and hardware to adapt six R35/VR38 or Z34/VQ37 coils (with mount tabs removed) into the stock coil locations on a Z32/VG30DE(TT) OE upper plenum. You will need to remove the spark plug boots off of your existing Z32/VG30 coils and install them onto the BDE coil mount assembly. This kit works with the OE plastic dust shields that protect the VG spark plugs from dirt and oil - BDE does not supply either OE VG spark plug boots or dust shields, if you don't have these anymore, you will need to source these parts used.

Pull-Rings

The BDE pull-rings make it easier to remove the coils but we have made these optional so our customers can save some money if they want to. The base kit above is machined for the pull-ring hardware so these can be added later with no modifications required.

Hitachi Coils

Hitachi is the OEM coil supplier for Nissan and their R35/VR38 and Z34/VQ37 coils both deliver 3 times the spark energy of the stock Z32/VG30 coils. The only differences between these two coils is price, length of spark plug stem, and the location of the mount tab (which are irrelevant since we are removing both of these) - BDE will be stocking both PNs for those who want to save a few dollars where possible. When adding coils to the base kit, BDE will assemble the mounts onto the coils.

Electrical Connectors and Adapters

To simplify your installation as much as possible, BDE is offering plug-n-play coil adapter harnesses along with connector kits that allow you to build your own. We are also offering Z32 replacement engine harness coil connectors (PN: BDE-697) in case your current Z32 coil connectors have seen better days. Compare BDE's harness and connector prices to anywhere else and you will not be disappointed.
