How many of the banjo bolts do I need for the Akebono caliper?
- Triet Nguyen
Hi Triet, each caliper will use one banjo bolt.
I am not sure to understand how changing a simple bolt can allow me to reuse my steel lines from my brembo setup ?
Just to clarify things, my current setup :
Nissan 350z
- OEM Brembo calipers
- Steel lines
I'm upgrading to an akebono setup. Some friends of mine have already done the exact same conversion with your kit, but they all bought new steel lines to fit their new calipers. Is it sure that using these bolts will allow me to reuse my steel line?
- Loris
Hi Loris, the factory banjo bolts are the correct thread pitch and all, tehy're just too long for the Akebono calipers. So you can either shave the bolt down, or just replace with shorter bolts (these). If your setup has the style that uses a flare nut tube directly into the caliper without a banjo bolt, then you would have to change the whole line.
I'm going from non sport calipers to akebono calipers on my 2010 370z base are these bolts all I need to use my non sport brakes lines on the akebono calipers ?
- Chris
Yep, these are correct for that conversion.
Do i need 4 of these for the brake upgrade or do just the two front calipers need them?
- Hector
Hey Hector, you'd need one for each caliper that you're changing.
I'm moving from non-Brembo calipers to Brembos on the front of my '03 G35 and I know that I need a different banjo bolt. Are these the correct length to make that happen?
- Dale
Yep, these would indeed do the trick.
