A
sport
suspension
developed
based
on
MAX
Ⅳ
GT
also
allows
circuit
driving
with
high-grip
radial
tires.
Features:
-
All-around
damping
force
setting
was
made
from
a
street
to
circuit
drive
without
too
much
stiffness/softness
by
reducing
an
excessive
damping
force.
-
A
test
vehicle
used
a
model
"Spirit
R"
equipped
with
LSD
and
the
tires
changed
to
ADVAN
A052,
18-inch
that
is
assuming
the
compatibility
for
recent
more
high-grip
tires.
For
achieving
the
best
damping
force
setting
without
any
deficient
or
excessive
spring
rate
or
damping
force,
a
final
check
was
held
at
a
racing
course
in
Fuji
Speedway.
-
RX-8
is
a
car
that
is
difficult
to
ensure
sufficient
rear
stroke
amount
due
to
the
rear
suspension
shape.
For
ensuring
the
stroke
amount
by
employing
the
ride
height
adjuster
thread
cutting
part
to
the
shock
body
length
adjustable
bracket.
Overcoming
the
weak
point
of
RX-8
and
improved
the
stability
of
a
car.
-
Ensures
the
stroke
amount
by
using
helper
springs
at
the
top
and
bottom
of
the
spring
even
though
a
high
rate
spring
is
used
at
the
front
(16K)/at
the
rear
(10K).
As
a
result,
it
sufficiently
improves
ground
contact
properties.
-
We
recommend
adjusting
a
damping
force
adjustment
dial
in
around
15
to
20
steps
for
street
use,
5
to
10
steps
for
circuit
use
depending
on
your
preference.
-
Clearance
from
the
ground
has
been
confirmed
in
the
tested
vehicle
equipped
with
225/40R19
tires.
Please
be
careful
an
under
panel,
fuel
tank
and,
catalyzer
not
to
touch
with
the
ground
due
to
the
small
ground
clearance
of
RX-8.
Especially
please
pay
attention
when
using
the
common
size
of
265/35R18,
245/40R18
that
has
a
small
outer
diameter.
