Customer Questions

Question:

What is the difference between the rotor brands? - Tyler Costley

Answer:

With the Centric rotors, they start off as blanks and we have them drilled/slotted/coated as needed. With Stoptech, Stoptech does all of that. Also, with Centric, the entire rotor comes coated, and the swept area is rubbed off by the pad, leaving the entire rest of the rotor coated. With Stoptech, they only coat the hat, so you often get a small ring of uncoated rotor close to the hub.

Question:

Purchased g37s calipers for my g37x, is this the proper rotor kit needed for this upgrade. - Daniel Leo Steslow

Answer:

Yes, these would be the correct rotors for that upgrade.

Description

The CZP Performance Brake Kit is a great update for all G37s, Q40s, and Q60s with Sport (Akebono) Brakes. This kit includes everything you need to refresh and update your factory brake package. Replace your worn out stock components with fresh parts that perform better than OEM! Each kit will include:

  • Front & Rear Rotors
  • Front & Rear Pads
  • 2x Motul 5.1 Fluid (Optional)
  • Front & Rear Technafit Stainless Steel Brake Lines (Optional)

The most basic kit will include Centric rotors with Centric Posi-Quiet Pads. We use semi-metallic Posi-Quiets in the front and ceramic in the rear as we've found this setup gives a great balance between pedal feel and rotor longevity. For more aggressive driving, we recommend Hawk HPS pads, which are slightly higher on dust, but still make a great street pad while still having increased braking capacity. For a full-on track car, Stoptech pads are a great choice.

For the most serious drivers, we also offer our lightweight custom 2-piece front rotors paired with Stoptech Rear (1pc) rotors.
