Versions

There are four Fuel Injector O-Rings: Two versions of the upper, and two versions of the lower. The versions correspond with Fuel Injector phases.

Replacement

Injector O-rings are a compression type that can only be used once, and after they've been removed, they cannot be used again. Failure to replace these o-rings will cause a fuel leak, and a fuel leak into the cylinder can (and will) hydrolock the motor, which can cause complete engine failure.

Specifications

Injector O-Rings should be replaced with Nissan parts, which are relatively inexpensive and ensure correct fitment. However, some owners suggest replacing them with viton O-rings, on the basis that they will be more durable (despite the fact that, when installed correctly, virtually no O-Ring set has leaked).
The size of the O-Rings are as follows.

  • 16x21x2.5 & 20x27x3.5 (Old Style)
  • New Style: NFI, sorry :(
