Customer Questions

Question:

What is the warranty length/process for JWT? - Philip H

Answer:

Hey Philip, they are warrantied against manufacturing defects out of the box, but since clutches are a wear part, there really isn't a warranty once they're installed.

Question:

would be suitable for a 2004 nissan 350z vq35 turbo 500 hp 19lb   boost - Ruben

Answer:

Hi Ruben, if you're doing normal street driving it'll hold just fine. If you're looking for something that can take hard launches I would recommend something a little heavier duty.

Question:

Do these kits come with the clutch alignment tool and throw out bearing? I order this from a vendor off one of the Z forums and I did not receive the alignment tool or throw out bearing. - Curt

Answer:

They do not, but if you order it from CZP, we include them.

Reviews

Rated 5/5 based on 4 customer reviews

Pros: Difference in acceleration can be felt with the 13lb lightweight flywheel, had to replace friction plate once (after 3 years of abuse and 3 hard track days) and it saved a lot of money. Cons: Chatter noise, when on idle / neutral, the car sounds like a diesel engine.

Shipping was fast! Notice a big difference , clutch engages more quickly ,a little more noise than stock . Oem clutch&flywheel grabs high, the jwt combo grabs low.

Pros: Notice a huge difference in acceleration with the lightweight flywheel compared to Exedy flywheel. So far so good, clutch is grabbing really good. Engagement point is low to the floor while before it was high. Con: chatter noise-about the same as Exedy lightweight flywheel. 300 miles driven on new clutch kit so far.

Description

This is the best clutch/flywheel combo available for the 350Z/G35. With 1200KG clamping force, the need for a harsh, non-organic friction material is eliminated. This clutch makes a solid connection even with our nitrous spool-up kit to 570+HP. JWT Flywheels are made using the highest quality and most modern materials available. A noticeable, quicker acceleration will be experienced. JWT flywheels are 14lbs in weight, compared to the heavy 28lb stock flywheel.

CZP Chromoly Clutch Pivot Ball and Stainless Clutch Line
The stock Nissan pivot ball is made from a weak Grade 5 steel and from 10+ years of use have a tendency to break when an upgraded clutch is installed. We have made our Pivot ball from Chromoly to withstand the extra force of an upgraded clutch. This is a must have part for anyone upgrading to a performance clutch!!!

The Stainless Steel Clutch Line is a must have upgrade for the 350Z/G35 with an upgraded clutch. This will eliminate the mushy pedal feel, that ALL Z's have after installing high clamping force clutches. The kit works wonders with Dual Disc clutches as well. By eliminating all soft points in your hydraulic system, it adds to pedal response, feel, and gives you a little more adjustability in the pedal height!

Pilot Bushing
A stock bronze pilot bushing is included with each clutch kit, and we generally find this to be the easiest and most trouble-free to install and run. If you prefer a needle-bearing style pilot bushing, the Nismo pilot bushing is available as an option above.

Package Includes

  • Clutch: Pressure Plate & Disc
  • Flywheel: Aluminum or Iron Nodular
  • Throw Out Bearing: Koyo
  • Pilot Bushing: Bronze Sleeve or Nismo Needle Bearing
  • Stainless Steel Clutch Line
  • Chromoly Pivot Ball
  • Alignment Tool
